That I may cause those that love me to inherit substance, and I will fill their treasures.
Proverbs 8:21
We are called to Love God with all of our Heart, Soul and with all of our Strength.
Many of us spend our time spinning work wheels endlessly. And we fail to pray.
We may mumble a 2-minute prayer before we step out to go somewhere and that is
for God to protect us along the way or a small prayer before going to bed
that doesn't even last for seconds. And that's for God to give us a Good Night's sleep.
We only seek God when we are in distress. We increase the time we seek God when
there is a grave financial need, painful crisis, sickness, approaching exam or
when the exam results are out. That's when a lot of us frantically pray and hope for a
miracle. And after we receive the miracle we become slothful in our Prayer Lives.
How wonderful it would be if we seek God not just for our needs but seek God out
of love for who He is and what He has done for us.
He gave his life and shed all his blood for us on the cross of calvary. He loves us with
an everlasting love.
I love those who love me, And those who seek me diligently will find me. Proverbs 8:17
Looks absolutely impossible to most of us who get so drained after a long exhausting
day at work and a bunch of chores to do at home and we just fall dead asleep. Some of us
won't move a limb during the early hours of the day because it's so cozy to sleep.
Yeah, as humans we are weaklings, and even if we strive hard and have a strong desire
to pray and draw closer to God. Our flesh is weak, we feel so drained out of all our
strength. Sometimes we can't even drag ourselves to kneel or open our mouth and
praise God. When we close our eyes, all we can see are the problems surrounding us,
We find it so hard to focus and pray.
Firstly, list down everything that is hindering you from praying and surrender all
the issues to God. We have a faithful God who is the author and the finisher of our
faith and He will perfect that which concerneth us.
What I'm trying to say here is that we don't have to stay in that dark junction forever
Where we blame the devil, our fleshly weakness, surrounding situations for our lack
of prayer. The Spirit of the Lord is able to fill us with supernatural strength and
transform us. He will grant us the grace to pray and quicken our mortal bodies.
So there is a way to overcome all the weakness that is hindering us from drawing
closer to God.
When we seek him early he crowns us with favor, arms us with his mighty strength,
fills us with His unchanging amazing grace and the mighty anointing of the Holy Spirit.
His mercies are new every morning. In our own strength, we are miserable failures.
It is not by power nor by might or abilities of our own, but by the Spirit of God,
that we will live fruitful lives in the Lord’s service on this earth. Zechariah 4:6
Yes, It's absolutely possible when we allow the Spirit of the Lord to take control of us
and lead us in the right path. It's also the desire that God looks at, the desire to seek him
early. Seeing our desire he will clothe us with his strength. We all know the story of
Elijah where he outran King Ahab's chariot drawn by horses. May God strengthen
you according to this verse as you wait in his presence,
But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with
wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
Isaiah 40:31
For those who honor Me I will honor, and those who despise Me shall be lightly esteemed.
1 Samuel 2:30
As we start honoring the Lord, loving him with all of our Heart, Soul and Strength.
He will exalt you and fill your mouth with good things so that your youth is renewed like
the Eagles.
A lot of us find it hard to succeed even after putting in tons of hard work. When we seek the
Lord, He will be like a tree planted by streams of water, Which yields its fruit in its season,
And its leaf does not wither; And in whatever he does, he prospers. Jeremiah 17:8
We might have read a lot of articles encouraging us to pray consistently and seek God but it
all starts with you.
But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added
unto you. Matthew 6:33
...Work out your own salvation with fear and trembling Philippians 2:12
Bring down all the strongholds that is preventing you from seeking the Lord through the fiery
anointing of the Holy Spirit. Read his precious word, for the word of God is a discerner of the
thoughts and the intents of the heart.
May the Lord bless you and keep you and cause his face to shine upon you and grant you his
peace
A Beautiful Song written by Daniel Webster in 1883,
There shall be showers of blessing:
This is the promise of love;
There shall be seasons refreshing,
Sent from the Savior above.
Showers of blessing,
Showers of blessing we need;
Mercy-drops round us are falling,
But for the showers we plead.
There shall be showers of blessing-
Precious reviving again;
Over the hills and the valleys,
Sound of abundance of rain.
There shall be showers of blessing;
Send them upon us, O Lord!
Grant to us now a refreshing;
Come, and now honor Thy Word.
There shall be showers of blessing;
O that today they might fall,
Now as to God we're confessing,
Now as on Jesus we call!
There shall be showers of blessing,
If we but trust and obey;
There shall be seasons refreshing,
If we let God have His way.
God Bless You |
