Whenever we are faced with trials and tribulations. We think that the
Lord has forgotten us and forsaken us. But the Lord is so close to us,
closer than the air we breathe. He's right beside us, caring and watching
over us every single moment. ....He who keeps you will not slumber.
Behold, He who keeps Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.
Psalm121: 4
And also in Isaiah 49:14-16, we read about God's love and care as that
of a loving Mother,
“Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have
compassion on the son of her womb? Yea, they may forget, yet will
I not forget thee".
He promises, "For the mountains shall depart and the hills be removed,
But My kindness shall not depart from you..." The Lord is very
mindful of those who totally trust him like a child in
times of trouble.
But it's so hard during trying and testing times that things around get
stormy and the wave's hit us hard. Fear and doubt seem to drown us
and we are surrounded by thick clouds of darkness and the weight of
the mountain pressing down on us. Our heart is so weighed down by a
lot of pain and we're stricken with fear, despair and hopelessness.
Sometimes life can just knock the wind out of our lungs and we find it
so difficult to lift our eyes to the hills from where our help comes from.
There are times when we are in a lot of agony and not knowing what to
do and tears stream down our face with no one beside to comfort us.
Sometimes we have to walk through the valley of darkness all alone
totally devastated and sinking in misery and a lot more than words can
just express! Yeah, we might have seen our share of troubles but just
remember that the Lord who was standing with Shadrach, Meshach
and Abednego in the fire is also standing with you to protect and
safeguard you from all evil.
“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through
the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire,
you shall not be burned, Nor shall the flame scorch you.” Isaiah 43:2.
He will cover you under the shadow of his hand and hide you under the
covert of his wings. However hard it may seem, just remember your
present situation can't drown you. We have an unchanging and an
unfailing God. Nothing is impossible with our Lord Jesus.
Isaiah 63:7-9 says “In all their affliction, He was afflicted, and the
angel of His presence saved them; in His love and in His pity He
redeemed them; He lifted them up and carried them all the
days of old.”
(Isaiah 63:9)
The Lord is listening to our cry. He will wipe all our tears and
answer us speedily. This Poor man cried and the Lord heard him
and saved him out of all his troubles. Keep holding on to his
unfailing promises. Keep meditating on his word and lift up
your wings of Prayer and Praise and watch your Giants fall.
The Lord will be a wall of fire and protect us from all evil.
When the enemy comes in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord
will lift up a standard against
him. Sometimes we may wonder, Is God listening to my prayer?
I have sinned and gone too far away from him. Let nothing prevent
you from coming to his Throne of Grace. Come as you are, He will
take you into his fold and give you deliverance from all your
problems and comfort you.
He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up all their wounds.
Psalm 147:3
Dear Child of God, The Lord is preserving you as the apple of his
eye you need not be afraid of anything. As you fill in the Holy Spirit,
the anointing of the Holy Spirit will break every yoke and set you free,
You will experience a great deliverance. You will keep him in perfect
peace whose mind is stayed on You Because he trusts in You. May the
Lord comfort you and bless you with His peace, shield you with his
loving-kindness and tender mercies.
A beautiful Song written by Annie Johnson Flint
1. I’ll
never be discouraged when dismal
clouds surround,
And life is full of toil and pain,
Who hath
let the clouds, sheds
forth His rays around,
He makes the bitter sweet to me.
CHORUS
He careth, He beareth,
I’m graven in the
palms of His hands ;
He watcheth and guideth,
He makes the bitter sweet to me.
2.
Though perils haunt
my way and billows
high may roll,
Yet
by His grace
I shall prevail ;
For
sheltered 'neath His wings, no
terrors drown my soul,
He makes the bitter sweet to me.
3. My joy
the path
of suffering, my life I count not dear,
With patience I the
race shall run ;
Some stumble and fall back, but
I to Him draw near,
He makes the bitter sweet
to me.
4.
Infallible His promise, by faith I
overcome,
Now
bound to Him by love’s
strong cord,
Saints
grown to Him in
fulness one fold in Him become,
He makes the bitter sweet to me.
5. When Christ Who
is our life in glory shall appear,
His
faithful servants He’ll
reward ;
And then no pain nor sorrow, His love wipes
every tear,
He makes the bitter sweet to me.
